Lovecraft and Astronomy...doesn't get much better than that. Would like to attend this event however the current time continuum and aethereal logistics makes this a near impossibility for the Sky Marshall. Perhaps next year... In the mean time I leave this inspirational link for all who have eyes on Victorian skies.

Update from the H.P. Lovecraft Commemorative Activities Committee:

 

What better way to spend a {probably rainy, wind-swept} Sunday afternoon in April, than gathering to celebrate the literary legacy of a master writer of horror fiction? The annual H.P. Lovecraft Tribute Service will take place on Sunday, April 10, on the front ground of Ladd Observatory, built in 1891 and frequented by H.P. Lovecraft in his boyhood years. 
 
Gothic or vintage style attire is encouraged.
 
After the proceedings at Ladd Observatory, all will be invited for a paying
of respects at  H.P. Lovecraft's gravesite in Swan Point Cemetery,
precisely two miles north from the performance setting.

Hello, I would like to be going but it would be taking me 3hrs to drive there and then 3hrs to drive home and for the only 1hr for the event and with the gas prices such as they are it unfortunately out of my budget both in time and monetary funds :(

        Thank you for having it and hopefully you will be hosting similar expanded events  to be attending in the future :) :)
