The Dark Satanic Mills of Bradford Industrial Museum
Incorporating a futuristic Victorian perspective on fashion, culture and technology, Steampunk as a genre originated in the 1980s. Inspired and influenced by 19th Century science fiction, Steampunk is set in a world where steam power is paramount.
The exhibition will display costumes, objects, artwork and memorabilia loaned by local Steampunk enthusiasts. These will sit alongside Bradford Museums & Galleries permanent collections of late19th and early 20th century steam powered technology.

I popped over to the exhibition at the weekend and despite the heavens opening, it was a fantastic day. The main museum is a great insight into the industrial history of The North and the section dedicated to Steampunk was varied and well laid out. I particularly liked the collection of classic vehicles and engines.
