Event Description

The Dickens Christmas Festival is presented by historic Simi Covenant Church with some help by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce and other local businesses for the joy of the whole Simi Valley community!

2012 is a great year to start a new tradition about Victorian England in Simi Valley because it's the bicentennial of Dickens' birth, plus the Olympics were just held in London!

Saturday December 8th and Sunday December 9th from 1pm-7pm there will be street performers, strolling carolers, food vendors of many varieties, and the streets of 19th century London recreated inside the church building complete with lots of Christmas craft booths.

There will be games for kids including bobbing for apples, and also a horse-drawn carriage ride. There will be games for kids including bobbing for apples, and also a horse-drawn carriage ride. They had vendors, contests with nice prizes, quite a few people in costume. There were activities for kids. There was food. They decorated it beautifully! Can't wait to see their 2nd one next year.
