Think we may make it more of a pleasure weekend rather than business, am sure hubby will be taking lots of lots of pics of everyone for the fun of it and passing them on any way. We wouldn't have any stock to sell as such as he is a photographer and was thinking of taking people's photos on the days, so it would probably be best to just do it for fun this year....

Since we actively subsidise the trade stands and keep the size small to encourage small individual makers etc they have proven to be very popular indeed. I think we may be able to squeeze a couple more in but I would advise you to book one very very quickly if you want one. Contact vssmarkets@yahoo.com Don't forget we also have the bring and buy as an opportunity for individuals who don't make enough stock for a stall to try some of their wares out on the rest of steampunkdom. The Bazaar Eclectica is the biggest wholly steampunk market in the World we are proud to say.

Yes John, thanks for your reply - I think you might be right, perhaps the children will have to go to grandparents so we can make a weekend/ day of it, its not far from us as were only on the cold side of the Pennines! Or I may just bring the eldest as he would absolutely love it.... debating contacting for a trade stand at the moment.. for some steampunky photography... not sure yet though...

There were a number of children at last years event and they seemed to have a good time. We even offer free tickets to younger children. Children are welcome during the day but not at the evening entertainments I am afraid since there is an adult component to features. We do not offer any child care facilities or activities specifically for children because of the current situation regarding child safety legislation. So whilst your children may well enjoy it this may also be the perfect opportunity for you to have a short break from them and have a real whale of a time yourselves. Sounds great I can't wait, it will be my first time.... we are just debating whether to bring the kids (age 5 and 3) or leave them with the grandparents?? Any thoughts? I know they would love it, but it might be a bit busy for hem as they are quite young. Has anyone else taken children before? Also Husband will be there, being a steampunk photographer hopefully, so he will be otherwise engaged at the end of a lense so I will generally be on my ownsome with the boys.. hmm.. thinking about it, may have to start being extra nice to grandparents...
