The Crossroads of the Aether

A certain bloomer pattern... would anyone like to help me out?

Hello all!  I'm acquiring the tools and materials I'll need to make a pair of bloomers based on this pattern.  I was wondering if anyone has worked with this pattern before, and if they would be available to answer any questions I might have when I start working on it.  I've never worked with a pattern involving an actual crotch before.

Thank you!

Hrm, that's much more complicated than the chaghchur I make (basically the Persian pant that inspired the "bloomer" pants) I've made pants and things with crotches before though, so if you need help in general with them my brains will be available for the picking after Tuesday (sorry, Saturday I'm packing, Sunday I'm flying out, and Monday I'm settling in, so I won't be of much help those days even if I can get to a computer)

I hope to have all of my things after Tuesday, so that works out excellently.

Perfect. In the meantime I wish you good luck on getting all your things.

And if you haven't gotten your fabric yet already, let me advise you to purchase an extra two yards more than you think you need of it, just in case. It's always better to have extra fabric when attempting a new garment, in the event there's a minor miscalculation or anything.

Thanks. I bought a set of sheets from Goodwill today to use as fabric, so I have more than enough. :)

Wally, you dirty man! *blushes and fans self*

So it turns out I didn't need any help with the bloomers after all.  I sewed them last night and they look and fit great. :D http://www.thesteampunkempire.com/photo/new-bloomers

Cute! I'm glad you managed them well, they're fantastic.

Thanks!  I want to modify the pattern to make flannel pajama pants.

Red flannel! Very popular with Victorian ladies, as it was thought to be good for the circulation ;)

Sorry, that was like a Tourette's outburst right there......

Haha, it's fine!  It sounds delightful.
