The Steampunk Empire

The Crossroads of the Aether

I stumbled on this site while researching some stuff on machinima, and I'm now addicted to it. There is a free Flash version.

I bought the game a month or so ago and I definitely enjoy it. I've been following Amanita's games for a while, and I'm glad to see they upped their scope for this one. Some of the puzzles are damn hard though, and don't make much sense to boot... but that's to be expected from them.
So far, I've only played the free version. I love the soundtrack, its so ...intuitative. And the art is really lovely, the little robots are so sweet. Even the ruined world is charming.

I'm sure I'll buy the full game once I've made it through the Flash game. [These puzzle games always take me awhile. I'm currently stuck in the room with the train-track that has the little coal bin that goes down the track.]
Thank you so much ...I don't mind help at all ..thank you for the offer.
Don't forget about Clockwords. Fantastic steampunk game by dictionary.com!
Finished this recently. It is certainly worth the frustration. I hearken back to my Myst compulsive years, they with their beautiful scenery and slavish dedication to teeth-grindingly difficult puzzles. Excellent game.
cooly ! ,^^
Very interesting. I love the artwork.
Just finished playing the full version, that was fun. I am glad I was introduced to this site otherwise I would never have found this great game.
Pleasure to be of service.
Found them last year and I bought the full version, adore it. I also have the music. This is what I am going to school to learn to make and have already been messing around with steampunky ideas. I love all of their stuff, especially the educational one they did. Lovely, lovely stuff.

...loved playing Space Invaders in the arcade. haha
Excellent game - I thoroughly I recommend it too ! Beautiful illustrations and top notch music.

I haven't had the time to look at more than 6 or 7 levels (the regulators are all askew) but my son, who's an impish little chap, became somewhat obsessed with the whole affair and finished it before tiffin !

hats off to Amanita, by Jove !
