The Crossroads of the Aether
Good afternoon everyone~
My name's Charmaine, and well, i'm a little bit lonely you see, observing the world Steampunk from my laptop..
I'm looking for friends! Friends like all of you lovely people!
Friends from all over the world, and maybe some a little nearer to me (South East England).
I like cake and vampires. Maybe that could be a starting point?

I find the best way to make friends is get out there, Join in the discussions, add your wit and vigor to the goings on, change your persona to suit the crowd. I have at least five steampunk personas, each one well suited to the discussions at hand, be it role play, running a bar, sitting down to cups of tea, or having a good laugh.
So come on in, shrug off that jetpack, wipe the soot from your cheeks, stick the parasol in the umbrella stand, let your hair down, and have a nice cup of tea and some cakes. Or perhaps you would like something stronger?

Out of curiosity, what part of Ohio?
Permalink Reply by Lady Cage Styleaux on October 15, 2012 at 11:56am Cincinnati.... is that you, Odetta?
Permalink Reply by Shahbanoo Pantea on October 13, 2012 at 8:09pm Ah, yes the ACS
You can come in and try out a persona there if you want, or just come in for a general, random chat.
There seems to be no rhyme or reason there, but that's how stay on-topic in Off-Topic.
Permalink Reply by Shahbanoo Pantea on October 13, 2012 at 8:07pm I like pastries and being an Immortal. Does that qualify me?
But seriously, hello. Glad to meet you. Even though there's some distance between us, (I'm in LA you see) I hope that doesn't deter you from becoming a better acquaintance. As here is an excellent place to join and converse with those like-minded souls no matter how many clicks separate you from them.
We also have several groups and events listed here based in England, and I'm sure at least some of them are in the southeastern area, or could perhaps point you in the proper direction for things in that area.
Glad to have you with us Ms. Charmaine. :)

Did you make it to Burning Man Decompression today/this evening?
I for one was delighted to sport my bustle skirt and propeller/wings pin (among other items) at the Steampunk Saloon....twas lovely!
Permalink Reply by Shahbanoo Pantea on October 14, 2012 at 2:21pm Sadly, no.
I don't do well in deserts, despite having parents from Yazd.... :)
Permalink Reply by Madame Epiphany on October 14, 2012 at 5:58pm Ah! 'Twas in downtown Los Angeles, at the state park.
Loads of ravers and robots and odd assorted outfits....but also quite a few Steampunks and Victorians as well. :)
