The Crossroads of the Aether
I did something a little different recently. I have an Etsy shop ( www.etsy.com/shop/TheNavigatrix ) and it is a done thing there to create Treasuries of your favourite items. Other people's, not you own. So, inspired by a friend and The Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger, I made a Treasury base on the first book "Soulless".
Here is the link: http://www.etsy.com/treasury/MTk3ODgwMDB8MjcyMDg0MjY4NQ/parasols-an...
Do take a peek and leave comments. When I've finished reading the second book, I'll do another treasury. I sent the link to the author and she replied, calling it 'exciting'! How lovely to get a response.
I can't help but liken her style to a delicious combination of Jane Austen and Joss Whedon! Tell me what you think.

I have read the first two books and am waiting, not very patiently, for book three to arrive in the post. I am on Etsy two (just vintage not steampunk, yet anyway) - join my circle?
Permalink Reply by Sophia Cardea on October 13, 2012 at 9:10am Ah, the treacle. Well, it was a reference to the ill-fated treacle tart, an object of Alexia's deep desire at the beginning of the book. It was, tragically, flattened beyond edibility by the vampire she slayed. I couldn't find a listing for Treacle Tart, so that photograph-like illustration had to do.
I will look for you on Etsy :)
