The Crossroads of the Aether
Hi All, somehow I missed this section entirely when I posted this, so I wanted to post something here as well. I also had more news to add regarding my saga. So, as the title says, I am looking for artists and writers for a city-building simulation game that I am going to introduce for mobile. I was looking for programmers/coders as well, but haven't had any luck on that. Although, some of the resources I have found recently may negate my need for them at the moment, which is nice. However, I do still want some good art and writing for my game.
Just to give you some idea of where I'm coming from, I've been playing games for 30 years and if it's one thing I know, it's what good games are made of. I see a need for a quality city-building sim on mobile, and I've decided to do something about it. Personally, the current offerings for mobile only somewhat resemble games, and are more just like digital drugs that give you some free stuff, then get you to pay when you are hooked. It frankly sickens me that this has become normal.
As far as Steampunk goes, well, I've really only seen it from afar, as a lot of people, I'm sure. So I don't want to just jump in to the genre and start defining it myself. I consider myself a "gaming connoisseur", which is why I'm offended by the current games, and I am sure that a lot of people in this community feel the same about Steampunk. This is why I am looking for people familiar with the genre to join me. The game I want to put out will need to have a rich and full storyline, and I would also like to be able to offer a book of concept art, at some point, such as could be found, in the days of yore, with PC game Collector's Editions.
In any case, if you are interested in hearing more of what I am doing, please post here or send me a message. I look forward to any interested parties.

Permalink Reply by Colin P Druce-McFadden on September 24, 2012 at 2:51pm I'm a writer, and your game sounds pretty interesting. I'm currently (re)playing Medieval Total War 2 and am just releasing my debut book series "Tales Misforgotten". I'd be very interested in doing something like this with you. Give me more specifics. You've got my ear.
Below is me talking about both my book and my history with Steampunk. Give it a listen and see if you think I'm someone you'd like to work with.

The steampunk meets fantasy is a nice mixture, makes me think of 9. I will send a friend request here, so we can exchange contact information. Good luck on your kickstarter. I'd come and donate, but I am currently in need of donations myself ;)

Oh! I totally forgot to link this. Here's chapter one of my book! It might give you a sense of my writing (though it's not an overtly Steampunk selection:
