The Crossroads of the Aether
Well, I saw this and realized I never posted anything on the battery packs and the mod for myself. Here are the final videos for both the MK1&2 Tesla Plasma Capaciatance Distruptros, MK1&2 Aetheric Extraction Reactors and the Power control module for the mk2 reactor and pictures of the full sets with holsters. Hope you guys enjoy!

UPDATE:9/21/12 Disruptor is complete. Here is the video and I uploaded 2 new pics.
New to the scene and wanted to get an opinion on my first build. This is my Harrison Arms Tesla Plasma Capacitance Disruptor. This one is for my gf and acting as a prototype. Mine is not as complete and will have a few upgrades over the orig. I still have a bit to do on this one and I will be making custom power packs for each weapon. I have revamped the main power switch and enclosed it since this video was created. A picture is attached. I know the maverick is a very overdone mod but being my first, the price point was great. I would greatly appreciate all opinions, good and bad. Thank you all very much.

Permalink Reply by T.R Harrison on September 21, 2012 at 8:09am It was actually just a placement issue. I did have a current draw issue at first but resolved that with a rewiring of the main led array. Once I did that, everything was running great. The pack is putting out about 9.5v. Pushing the straight to the plasma ball and in the main array, each window on the cap chamber has 2 led's in series with a 100ohm resistor and there are 6 of those in parallel. The firing led is a single blue 10mm with a 350ohm resistor. Luckily with a rainy day ad working from home, I have enough time to finish this in the next few hours. I should have a video and pictures of the completed weapon tonight. Thank you very much for the comment and offer of help!

Permalink Reply by Eulalia Grace Hexham on September 22, 2012 at 7:39pm I just looked at he video. Very, very impressive. It looks like it could do some serious damage.
I imagine you've already looked at some way for it to make a noise. Could the power pack make an ominous humming sound?
Permalink Reply by T.R Harrison on September 22, 2012 at 8:22pm It's funny you say that. The plasma ball has a nice high pitched wine to it when powered. When I originally thought of doing this, I wanted to have a charge up noise that corresponded with the purple led's and a firing noise but decided to put that off for now. I still need to make the power packs and my actual side are, the mk2. This is actually for the girlfriend.

Permalink Reply by T.R Harrison on September 24, 2012 at 8:08am The link at the very top is the completed video. I"ll remove all the old stuff so it just shows the completed disruptor
Permalink Reply by Ronin on September 24, 2012 at 2:18pm while I agree that the Mavs are completely overdone...I think this surely falls outside that realm.
not only did you make it look like you built it, you actually DID build it. that alone scores big in my book.
bravo
