The Steampunk Empire

The Crossroads of the Aether

As titles says im new to this site and partially new to steampunk. I knew what it was for quite a few years but never really ventured much into it. Now my soon to be ventures is taking A few DnD charactets from the fantasy world to alternate/parallel world that is steampunk. My problems is figuring out the equivelents classes

Quite funny
Airship captian? Do you want to be an airship captian? For ranger was think a rifleman, but then that brings up what kinds of weapons are there? What is the ammo type?

Ranger is an interesting example.  Rangers, of one sort or another, actually exist in real history.  Roger's Rangers -- Texas Rangers -- Mosby's Rangers -- Arizona Rangers [Yes I am American].  The first is a bit early but the other three existed in Victorian times even if one is a bug about Vickie's reign.

Was thinking a wizard could be tinker, priest well a priest, sorcerer an alchemist
