The Steampunk Empire

The Crossroads of the Aether

I need to know. I cannot work it out. Mayhap you are all set to private, and your posts do not turn up in status. Maybe you log on then fall asleep, but your names stays in the online section. But as of right now, there are 12 members online, and almost none of you has posted anything! I am not attacking you, I want to know what is going on behind my back :)

So please, tell me, put me out of my misery! What do you all like to do when you log onto the Empire. Am I missing the action? Are you researching? are you typing long winded answers to the last post on a discussion you are following? The Empire is so very popular, but I keep seeing the same names in discussions. What are the rest of you doing?

Some people like to "talk" and are over-represented on discussion boards. Others like to read and be entertained without participating. And others are lost and still trying to find the "Upskirt" gallery.

Ahhh *pulls head in* thinking maybe I am over-represented, and duly reprimanded.... *perks back up* there is an Upskirt gallery?!?

Yes, but unfortunately it is composed entirely of Wally's pictures.

I read the forums a bit.  I contribute a little bit to the makers forum.  Being newer, I only have the few things that I'm working on with one completed weapon but I'm getting there.

Well, welcome to you Mr Harrison. The Maker side of things is out of my league, although I bought a fantastic toy gun the other day and now thinking about how to mod it. I can make, but I guess I am not particularly taken by steampunk making. I kinda live my steampunk online, as there is no-one around me who does it or "gets" it, (Hence, possibly, the over-representation on the Empire mentioned earlier :} ) and the steampunk costuming does not happen, even infrequently. Everyday Victorian clothing, however, is another matter.

Well thank you very much.  I seem to be leaning more towards the tesla-esque side of fabricating, mostly because I'm a big fan of the gentleman.  I think it's pretty apparent in my mods so far as well, along with so hints of other sci-fi.  I really enjoy it.  I'm getting in to some leather working as well, but right now, mostly for custom holsters.  I have a bit of an eclectic style to my every day clothing so adding a nice hint of Victorian wasn't too difficult.  Being in the Chicago region, I have found there are large group of people in the area.  It's unfortunate that you don't have the same.  I haven't yet gotten to any conventions or gatherings, but hope to soon.

lol James, First I try to answer each private message first, secondly I go to any last comments that I have made to see if any replies, from there I try to find you all, my friends. I try to find the Accepted Cog Saloon cos it's the best place to go on here! besides whom else will allow a mermaid to setup housekeeping in one of the rooms in a saloon...oh and I check members birthdays so I may greet them appropriately(if any ppl on my friends list have changed their name/profile pic, I may overlook your birthday, sorry)

I have yet to check out the Saloon.  I should probably fix that.

All in good time my good man. There are many other amazing things to enjoy here, but if you ever feel the need for some bar based entertainment, then do drop in....

Always.  You can't go wrong with good company, a good stool and fine scotch.

Oh my Mademoiselle.  We have been friends for some time...but I keep changing my name and back story.  I just cannot seem to settle in to one thing as yet.

lol, that is perfectly fine as long as I have not missed your birthday =D

I don't think I'll ever change my SP profile cos my profile is mostly the real me. Just like my mermaid persona, I enjoy swimming and getting into mischief. In my real life I wouldn't walk around topless though or with clamshells as a covering..but James lets me at the Accepted Cog Saloon ahh hahahaha
