WIP: Diesel Punk Spider-Man

So I've been toying with the idea of steam/ diesel punk Spider-man for awhile now, and I finally set out to do it this week (or start it anyways). So after some planning and makeshift blueprints, this is the first prototype for Spider man's web shooters.

Edit: The back end near my elbow is where the web (CO2) cartridge will go

I love the look of this so far, though I'm curious; do you plan to put a trigger mechanism operated by your palm/wrist somewhere on there is it intended to fire another way?

I'm still trying to devise a good trigger mechanism. I have an aluminum bar I'm going to try turning into a palm (like the original spidey) trigger, but I'm not quite sure how to go about doing that just yet.

Also, I forgot to mention in my original post that the back end near my elbow is where the web (CO2) cartridge will go.

I like it. Will there be any projectiles or will it just fire CO2?

I would use leather instead of nylon.

Shooting a spray of CO2 is a cool concept, but will get you kicked out of most conventions and events.

I plan to use leather in the finished product, but since this was just a test of concept, I decided to go with nylon since it was much cheaper.

Also, since most conventions don't allow any kind of projectile, I plan to use CO2 cartridges mostly for looks, but also for the "hiss" sound effect.

That makes sense. I just worry about overzealous enforcement seeing a guy with "Biological weapons" strapped to his arms. They might not get it at first.
