Lt Col, I implore you to re-read my comment.  I was pointing out that this group has not been active as a group in the past, but that the purpose of its creation was to establish a forum where such activities could be arranged and advertised.  It brings me joy to see that it is finally being used for its intended purpose.

Excellent! Once we have a core group of people really in the area showing interest I will organize an informal gathering and go from there.

Almeda- it may not have been used for that in the past true but for some of us this is the only connection with others for trying to perhaps form a gathering. If we could find others interested it would be better.

I am in Baldwinsville and am highly motivated to get some steampunk events and get togethers happening in the Syracuse area.  I hear there are some nice tea houses that could be a good venue for an initial informal gathering.  Who is in?

Sincerest apologies, my dear Lieutenant Colonel, but in my absence I was unaware of this group's growing popularity.  To my knowledge, the members of this group have never used this forum to arrange social gatherings, though it was my hope in establishing the Salt City Steampunk Association that like-minded individuals would share information on regional activities and functions.

Is anyone in this group still active? I just joined the site but I know of several others I'm that are developing an interest locally. I'm in camden myself but have a friend in morrisville and one out near Syracuse as well. We have anyone else local too?

Hi!  i travel to my local goth club in Rochester NY (Vertex) and build steam and clockwork stuff

Please tell me there is not some sort of wasteland in upstate ny that destroyed all of the Steampunk enthusiasts.
