Salutations To My Fellow Steam-powered Travelers!

I am most honored to have entered your dimension, which is the result of happy accident, as I was actually on my journey to quite a different destination!
I am the eccentric Françican (Français-American) Chanteuse (Songstress) known as The "Weird VAL" of Dark Cabaret. I've been described as an unparalleled Parodist; a Steamy Chanteuse, and Spooky Polkanista - a campy incarnation of Edith Piaf from a alternate reality - the one in which my parents are Jim Morrison, and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, and my godparents are Lucille Ball and Weird Al.

I am a self-proclaimed "Mad Sonictist," taking maniacal pleasure in combining previously unrelated musical forms into new, unholy combinations. I vow to leave no genre unadulterated in my quest to create the ultimate Sonic Frankenstein...

I am also an authoress, releasing a full-color book of Steampunk Haiku entitled "My Cog Is Bigger Than Your Cog: SteamKu & Other Verbstrocities" with retina-staining illustrations by Monsieur Walter Sickert of Boston, MA, who is also founder of Steamcrunk band "Walter Sickert & The Army Of Broken Toys!"

I enjoy perv-orming at eSTEAMed convocations of all sorts...I welcome any and all who wish to contact moi, and who might wish to become 'fiends'. A simple Google search of my name will yield numerous clues as to where else I might be located in the Cyberian Dimensions.

Goodwill & Good Cheer to all who enter here!

Please have a listen to our new material.  We're currently in the process of recording our second album, a concept piece entitled "HG Wells's The War In The Air."  The first track "Progress" has been uploaded, and more are to follow soon.

Hello Veronique!  I just wanted to let you know in case you didn't that you had a brief mention in Gothic Beauty Magazine, Issue 31!  There was an article about the Steampunk World's Fair.  "On the outdoor stage Veronique Chevalier charms with her distinctive take on dark cabaret fused with polka..."  I was so excited when I saw it and had to let you know!  ;)

LACMA Muse invites you to its fourteenth annual Muse ‘til Midnight event for an evening of art, live music, food, and drinks to celebrate the museum’s two exhibitions, "Manly Pursuits: The Sporting Images of Thomas Eakins" and "Catherine Opie: Figure and Landscape". This year’s event is particularly inspired by Manly Pursuits and will feature an atmosphere to match Eakins’ late nineteenth-century paintings. In this vein, Muse '...til Midnight will be presented in two acts:

Act 1: The Eakins Arena

Sports and vaudeville collide in the Los Angeles Times Central Court!

-After-hours access to Manly Pursuits: The Sporting Images of Thomas Eakins and Catherine Opie: Figure and Landscape
-Live music by Dusty Rhodes and the River Band
-Large-scale video projections
-Vaudeville performers, Opie-inspired photo stations, complimentary cocktails, and more!

Act 2: The Steampunk Saloon
10 pm–12 am | LACMA West Penthouse
The fashion of yesterday meets the technology of tomorrow five floors up in the LACMA West Penthouse. Bust out your goggles and parasols to enjoy...

-Live performance by The Unextraordinary Gentlemen
-Steampunk inspired art, crafts, and fashion; featuring ensembles by Clockwork Couture
-DJ spinning the finest in early-century vinyl with a modern twist
-Moustache contest (homegrown and homemade), complimentary cocktails, and more!

Tickets are $25 for Muse members and $40 for the general public.
