So after the Clockwork Carnival, I am thinking of bringing back either Demos or having a roundtable Salon discussion in the early evening of the next event. Not really a panel, more like an open…Continue

It needs to be Mechanical Masquerade time, I'm itching for it.

This just in, www.theartificeclub.com has been updated with the latest pics of the Shoot that was done. Also, the Event page now links to the Event on Facebook. I may also link it out on the Empire as well. But do spread the word and I'd love to see you all November 6th for our first club social.

Thanks for the invite Dr. Q.
I wish I had run into more Atlanta Steampunks, though, I still had a blast.

And now Kevin's a member of the group. When is Nickel Children screening so I can add that to my must-see list?

Alight all, of those attending Dragon*Con, be sure to attend the slew of excellent panels and events run by the Alternate History Track among others. The highlights for me are:
Steampunk Superheroes 4pm Friday (Featured Panelist is Mike Mignola, who gave us Gotham By Gaslight, arguably the first Steampunk Comic in the mainstream, as well as Hellboy among other things)
Steampunk World Record Photoshoot 4pm Saturday
Steampunk and Alternate History in Music 8:30pm Saturday (Myself along with the Gypsy Nomads and Extraordinary Contraptions on the panel)
Dragon*Con Cabaret Midnight on Saturday (our own Talloolah Love performing)
Time Traveler's and Pirates Ball Sunday Night

While I can't ignore the present, I tend to escape it as much as a I can, but even during times when I should be paying attention to there here and now, the past and yonder come rippling through, as if a dimension shifted, a sliver opened and a beckoning hand, taunted. To the confusion of those trapped in the now world, I can't resist such an invitation.
