Locals have gone on several photo shoot outings. In fact, there was one this weekend that I missed at the Allegheny Cemetery. I've only glanced at a few of the pictures that showed up on Facebook but it looks like they were having more fun with the pictures this time than when we did it last year.

There have also been photo shoot get-togethers at the Cathedral of Learning and at Phipps Conservatory.

Admiral RedWolf APGAR : I personally like the bridges, as well as point park, especially near the old guard house by the Fort Pitt museum. There are many good places along the river, and some great historic buildings in the downtown area and Oakland.

Zebulon  :  Thanks for replying!  I really hope we run into you!   My husband does not have a Steampunk Empire profile, but I'm sure he'd be happy to meet you and Euphoria!  I'll be happy to meet someone local too, the friends whom we are meeting there and helping out with the booth at times, are actually from Maryland, so I don't get to see them very often and can't do Steampunk events with them often either.  I didn't get to go to the Steampunk Empire Symposium, so the SWF will have to suffice!

Euphorbia and I are going. I think there may be a few others but I'm not aware of anyone else from the area going. A big contingent went to the Steampunk zempire Symposium so it looks like that's going to be the main event that people from around here go on a regular basis.

Is anyone else from the Allegheny Steam Concordance going to The Steampunk World's Fair on May 17th thru the 19th at the Radisson (and Embassy Suites) in Piscataway, NJ?  My husband and I will be there (I went last year and had a great time, but he'll be there for the first time) and if you are going to be there, it would great to meet up with you!  If you are going you please leave a message at my profile and maybe we can meet up with you!  If you are going, you will be most likely to run into us at the Big Circle Jewelry and Steampunk Emporium's jewelry booth, as our friends run it and we like to help out when we can OR we will both be going to the Goblin Market.  Hope to see you there!

I'll be going to the Up in the Aether convention in three weeks (Holy crap! That soon?) and have space in the car for someone needing a ride from Pittsburgh and an extra bed in the room for someone who doesn't snore.
