I hope to make your aquaintence soon.

"Enjoying" is not quite as accurate as "tolerating". I have certainly braved the cold by gathering up my astrolabe and compass for an astronomical meeting today. It was a very brisk shuffle from the carriage to the hotel!

Welcome, are you enjoying this lovely weather we are having?

Hello, Brett! It is a pleasure to see you here.

Greetings and well met, Hypatia! I believe we have acquainted ourselves previously...

Kind Sirs and Ladies,

I am new here would like to introduce myself. I am Hypatia, professional event planner, musician by education, and student of Victorian and Edwardian style mysticism.  I am lover of astronomy and physics, champagnes and scones, corsets and lace.

I have home built in 1912 and quite a garden in Baltimore, largely inherited from a predecessor who was a master gardener. I consider myself a novice gardener. I grow flowers, asparagus, blueberries, herbs and unfortunately weeds. Quite a lot of weeds, really.

I am also a novice to steampunk, but have been an admirer for some time, only now dipping in a tentative toe. I hope to meet some fine, like-minded ladies and gentlemen in the area, attend some events and make some new acquaintances.

Sirs:--ladies too
I am a seasoned collector and tinkerer of Steampunk type items.
3-wheeled tilting electric vehicles and antique digital view cameras
are of interest to me.
And I live in the wilds of Northern Virginia--

Thank you, Mr. McDermott, and yes, you may be so bold! :)

I really appreciate the welcome; who knows? Perhaps we can quicken the other members, and your voice will become more than a solitary one. I, too, am glad to make your acquaintance.

Welcome Oz,

If I may be so bold to be on friendly terms with your name. It is kind of you to make your presence known. The members of this page are a tad quiet, many either lurk or do not frequent the site often. A few of us respond, me more often then others - perhaps I anoy them. All the same, glad to make your aquaintance. We all are new at one point or another, I started less than two years ago. Feel free to ask questions ; trail and error are your friends.
