Comment by Euphrenia McGee on June 14, 2012 at 11:53pm Sadly, I no longer have a croquet set. :-(
Comment by Euphrenia McGee on June 14, 2012 at 11:52pm Noon sounds like an excellent time to me!
Comment by Shadarko on June 14, 2012 at 11:19pm We have Golden Gate Park, near abouts the Consevatory on Saturday the 30th. Can I venture to suggest Noon be the meeting time for our picnicing?
Comment by Countess M on June 8, 2012 at 3:59pm Sounds absolutly delightful! Consevatory, carousel, comestibles...sounds like a perfect summer's day.
Comment by EngineRmRaphi on June 8, 2012 at 11:03am Ah, the Conservatory. As someone with a degree in botany, I find the place enchanting. All those gaudily gay flowers. Or delightfully de facto bi-- they're called 'perfect" if they have boy and girl parts in the same flower. Then there's the dark understory plants or the carnivorous ones, quite goth. The sheer variety and determined differences I would think count as punk. Best of all, the building itself. Built in 1876 out of redwood, somewhat damaged by fire in 1883, it was spared by the 1906 quake. Very SF, very... well, steam.
Comment by Shadarko on June 8, 2012 at 1:37am If we do the the area around the Conservatory, there's also the carousel not that far away.
There are lovely areas around the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park.
Comment by Countess M on June 7, 2012 at 9:07am I recall "picnic"; in Dolores Park, perhaps?
Comment by Rev. Mik McAllister on June 5, 2012 at 3:20pm I will do my best to make it. Are we doing a picnic or high tea?
