Greeting Bay Areans! Is there nothing going on in the group? I just joined although I see the last comment was 4 months ago!!!  New blood here - shall we plan something?

The Santa Cruz show sounds interesting. I'd never heard of the "Santa Cruz Institute of Contemporary Art".  It seems the Salz Tannery finally tanked, and the buildings have been turned into an art center. This may be their first show. Their web site doesn't indicate any previous exhibitions.

The Santa Cruz Institute of Contemporary Art has contacted the Steam Federation as part of there search for Steampunk Artists. This is a Jury selected show and there is a entry fee to submit your work so if you are thinking of doing this read the form carefully.
Info on submissions is on the PDF downloadable at the link. Deadline is October 12th
November 3rd through December 15th is the show.

Orphan Andy's is fine.  See you there or across the street at the Muni stn.  I'll be wearing civilian clothes and will attempt to look like a civilized human.  At least for the afternoon.

Still planning on seeing San Francisco at the Castro on Saturday at 1.  If any one is interested in getting brunch/lunch before head we're going to meet at 11:30 at the Castro Muni Station at 11:30 and head over to Orphan Andy's or Sliders for foods before the movie.

Oooohh!  A a talking picture!  Considered a classic; haven't seen it in years.  Would be a most pleasurable outing.  And at the Castro yet!  Thanks ever so much for the announcement.

Hey folks, I just saw that the Castro Theater will be showing the 1936 film San Francisco (set before and during the 1906 earthquake) and wondered if anyone would be interested in making it an outing.  It's showing Saturday August 10th at 1 pm.  We could go get brunch in the neighborhood before hand if anyone wanted.  (it's part of a double feature, Earthquake is to follow) .  Let me know if you're interested.
