How it all works...

Maybe you're a writer and have a great idea for a comic, but can't draw. Or an artist that lacks storytelling skills?

Or you could do the whole thing, but you just like the surprises that creative synergy brings?

Or you have a special little project in mind for yourself that you lack a certain skill or tools to complete?

Artist - Writer

Artist - Craftsbeing

Lyricist - Musician

Costume Designer - Seamstress ( Seamster? )

What else?

Interested? Put a proposal under "Discussions". Look at other people's proposals. Check out their work. Start talking.

I'd suggest doing a small project to start, and see if you work well together.

If it's something with commercial potential, there are sample collaboration contracts online you could use. And it's up to you to play nice- AetherPower is not the referee, only the enabler!

I have begun a living book or game as it stands based on a book that I'm writing and desire to publish. I'm using this as a test platform to engage readers and enthusiasts. The premise is dear to my heart and I encourage any feedback.

I've never done this before and have found the courage to do so, enjoy. It is also a place to develop one's Steampunk character.

Hey guys,

I know some of you know me as an old friend, some as family, and some as a new acquaintance, and others perhaps, not at all. I'm sending this with the hopes of appealing to you on an individual level. I need your help, and I need it badly. They say opportunity knocks once, and well, that tap has come to my door in the form of a Battle of the Bands. My group, an indie steampunk group called The Dustin Kahlil Band, has made it into the final running and we need votes to make it through. Voting is free and there are no other obligations involved...just a couple of mouse clicks is all it takes and you could very well help push us up to where we need to be to win this thing and go to London.

Here is the link to vote: http://www.facebook.com/hardrockcafebiloxi/app_205164529573076
Just scroll down till you see Dustin Kahlil Band and click "Vote".

If you have already voted, then please (and I can't ask this enough) spread the word to people we may not know, networking this out is going to be key to us getting there. For me, this is no longer about my band winning, it is an underdog struggle to achieve, to represent all the other underdogs out there, to help my home which I love be represented on a global stage, and a chance, just maybe, to finally wrap my fingers around a dream that has been in my heart since I was twelve years old.

I thank you in advance, with all earnestness and sincerity. We cannot do this without friends and family backing us up, we can't do this without you.

Yours,
Professor Jason Milliken

From the Grand Bohemian

Greetings fellow steampunk writers.

Those who are around my age being 51 or somewhere around that may remember a Musical group called Klattu. This group was a very steampunkie group with a lot of great and strange songs. One of the places mentioned in the songs was a place called Politzania, a noble place that came to a bad end. I have been in contact with terry Draper one of the founders and writers of the band and he has given me permission to use Politzania for a book basis. I would like each and every one of you if you can to visit my site and write a story and base it in Politzania. When we are complete everyone will get credit. This is a fun project and I want you all to be involved in it. This goes for illustrators also.

The site is http://www.thesteampunkempire.com/group/politzania?xg_source=activity

Thanks for the consideration

I really want to make a steampunk Indy film/video and if you live in Central Florida, I need your help.

Did you ever want to be a filmmaker, actor, script writer, director, producer, makeup artist, steampunk costume designer or prop maker, audio SFX artist , location scouts, graphic artist, video editor, composer or any of the other skills needed to make a feature film?

Here is your chance to get your name in the credits and learn how films are made. Anyone can help. Along with crew, actors and the jobs listed above we need folks for everything from transportation, production assistants, catering to you name it.

I want to gather a core group of Central Florida Steampunk fans to write, produce, shoot, edit a steampunk Indy film to enter in film festivals, and run at Steampunk conventions.

As far as gear, I have that covered. I have professional cameras, video gear and mics, tripods, lighting and a full professional edit/graphic system.

I have done several short films and work in media, so I know this can be done on a shoestring, as long as we have a good core group.

Anyone in Central Florida interested in helping?

I'm a writer. My hobby is music but I don't take it seriously enough to turn a screenplay into a musical so if anyone has those skills in here (music theory type stuff) then Hi! How are ya!?!
