This is my first steampunk gun. It's a modified plastic pistol, which I've added some parts to. I am trying to work in a lightbulb filled with green liquid near the top. Any suggestions is more than…Continue

I wanted to start a discussion about the aforementioned title. Does anyone think that if Rube had been around for Steampunk he would have embarrassed the idea of Steampunk. Personally I believe he…Continue

Comment by Deborah Bell on May 3, 2013 at 7:11am Hello everyone! I'm pretty new to steampunk but feel right at home in it- my mum's a watch and clock repairer and we recently opened a watch and clock museum. I'm a big crafter and love making jewellery and can't believe I haven't found steampunk sooner!- my mum's basically handing me stuff to use and I love it! I sell on etsy and have just started selling the steampunk items and was just wondering what people thought of it? https://www.etsy.com/listing/150163314/steampunk-bracelet

I created this about a week ago and it was my first attempt at mixing lace and the traditional vintage watch parts and i think it came out quite well. what do you guys think?
Comment by Kim B on April 20, 2013 at 10:51am Hello fellow crafters and artisans! While I'm not a professional artist, I do love to make things and find great pleasure in creating little steam-inspired works of art :) I look forward to making your acquaintance and hopefully I'll have a few creations of my own to share.

Comment by Tobias Landgrave on April 11, 2013 at 12:00pm Beautiful job on the Jetpack- though, as Enganear said, technically Dieselpunk or Decopunk. I'd hate to be the guy to have to follow up that beauty!

Well, if you're gonna pull my leg. I whipped this up in a night in an attempt to burn off some unreleased creative steam while working on bigger projects. It's one of those projects that I will never be able to safetly bring to a meeting... oh, well. This is the Boiler Ball Shockwave Grenade.
this jetpack is beyond belief, such a exquisite item, many thanks for sharing
I love the jetpack, but I also feel that the art-deco styling puts this object firmly in the dieselpunk era, definitely not steampunk. It could be a VERY iconic piece in a dieselpunk exhibit. As a side note, I have one of these Electrolux vacuums and have memories of dragging it around the house when I was six. It still works although the hose is in sad shape. It even served duty as a blower for a paper roll controlled organ for a while.
