The Crossroads of the Aether
Whether it's tabletop (via boardgame or pen & paper), online (MMOs, MMORPGs, Browser), or via console (PS2, PS3, Gamecube, Wii, XBox, PC, Mac), this is the place for it.

I think most everyone has come across this one at some point. You tell someone you play D&D or Wow and they look at you with pity, hate, or a mix of the two. Granted, in the past few years, or…Continue

Ok, ok. I know there are several larping groups out there that are taboo and a few that have gang-war like rivalries. ANYONE...and I do mean ANYONE...is welcome here. Keep it clean or it'll be…Continue

Comment by Athena Hoven on December 19, 2010 at 12:40pm I do...I have seen trailers and commercials and articles. I'm excited that you get an option to play a female. (I believe?) and that it centers around the French Revolution (once again, I believe).
And I agree, addicted to gaming. From Consoles way back to present day. I don't have the cash to play WoW, but I've always wanted to get my hands on a copy of Guild Wars. My next goal, however, is to get an Xbox 360 so that I can play the new American McGee's Alice game -and- Fable 3.
I do tend to like cutesy games, tho, so I'm a Katamari fan, and I do want to try either Spore or Little Big Planet.

Comment by Steamy Autumn on December 17, 2010 at 5:56pm Oh Fable 3!!!! Have you seen the ingame content for it?? Tell me if you don't see Steampunk all over it
Comment by Steamy Autumn on December 17, 2010 at 5:54pm Gaming is a Passion, not an addiction lol. It's my lie, tell it like I want it, right? OK, I'll admit it, I'm addicted to gaming. My favorite games of all time would have to be World of Warcraft, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Lady Bug from the old ColecoVision system. I can sit and watch people play and enjoy myself just as much as playing, Black Ops is a prime example.
Gamer at heart... from console (Xbox 360, N64, PS2, Wii*eww*) to board games, card games(Magic the Gathering!!!), Dice games and then of course PC games ... World of Warcraft ftw... oh and did I mention I like playing World of Warcraft? Just checking.
Comment by Athena Hoven on December 17, 2010 at 12:04pm Here's an interesting question. And please, don't think this is solely for steampunk-based games, it's for all kinds, fantasy, scifi, etc.
There are a few games out there directed at steampunks, and I believe that we are being recognized as a large market. While I definitely don't look forward to the gaming market being saturated with Steampunk, I would like to see a few more based towards our subculture. What do you think? I know we've already been recognized as a major presence, and it's been proven we're not just a flash-in-the-pan, but should there be more or less directed at people interested in Steampunk? Do you think if too many Steampunk-genre games were created then people would burn out on it?
Opinions are most welcome.
Comment by Athena Hoven on December 17, 2010 at 11:47am Alright, so this is just a basic place for people who game, casual, hardcore, whatever. Post about what you've played, what you like, what you would recommend, what to stay away from, etc. Any kind of game...but please, respect other people and try to keep it clean.
