Hello Joe Gillbanks,

we all have to start somewhere, and here you are!

I'm guessing you're a chap, Joe not Jo, so clothing should be incredibly easy for you to begin gently. If you attend events ( you can find many posted on Facebook), bring your camera along and all you need to wear if you're shy is: pair trousers (NOT denims!), a collarless shirt and a waistcoat - done. You won't stand out and you won't feel out of place either.

Hello all

I am new to steampunk. I love the look and style as well as some of the stories. I love taking photos and I am based in London. I would love it if I can meet some over people like me. I have not start to dress mind you I do love some of the talk as well. I am shy and would love help to explore this world.

Thanks all the same

If I haven't already missed the Colchester event that  Jenna Jumblehunt-Smythe  is organising, I would be interested in going. I am a semi-professional storyteller, so might be able to contribute towards entertainment on the day. Most of my repertoire is mythical, but I know a few ghost stories that could be given a steampunky spin.
