Comment by Nadia de Castro on February 21, 2013 at 5:26pm Hello to the good people here,
I am here to ask for your help.
I have been looking everywhere for a Steampunk Lady, age 20-50 to participate in a guerrilla-style stunt this weekend in London, UK.
The stunt consists of going around London Markets for max 4 hours on Saturday and / or Sunday (23rd and 24th of February) asking for happiness! We will take pictures and record part of it. It might sound a bit weird, but it is all to promote a crowd-funding campaign for a short film I am making.
The short film, which I have co-written and will be directing, is called Rhoda Uxbridge and The Multiverse, and it is a heartwarming, steampunk, sci-fi adventure. You can find out more about it here.
At first I thought an actress in general could help, but I really need someone who is a steampunk at heart, and has not only the right clothing but also the right spirit.
All in all, these should be a fun couple of days, and whomever is willing to help us will be doing us a massive favour, that we will be ever so thankful for. We can't afford to pay much, but we are offering £25 per day for the help.
If there's anyone in the group that wants to help, or knows someone who might, please inbox me.
Thank you all for your kind help.

Just wondering if there's anyone from around the Cambridgeshire Norfolk border.
Comment by Miss Kaydance Heggarty on January 19, 2013 at 5:31am Afraid not old chap, but as I am but a steampunk fledgling would love to hear from anyone else in the UK for enlightenment, guidance and instruction or even just a spot of tea and gossip.

Comment by Mrs Julia Winterbourne on December 6, 2012 at 1:49am Welcome! Steampunk fashion is something I am very interested in. Do you do any dressmaking yourself? I love making things. I must admit I tend to like the more traditional Victorian styles for myself, but if I was younger I'd certainly be tempted by the more 'punky' style of stuff. So much fun!
Greetings to all! Even though I live across the pond, I have been an Anglophile since I was a child and love all things English and proudly have English/Scot/Welsh ancestry. I've traveled throughout England, Scotland and Wales quite a bit and have been "adopted" by my English friends as an official "English Rose." I look forward to some great discussion and information sharing especially regarding steampunk fashion! I hope to have a return visit in the not-to-distant future.
Comment by Mrs Julia Winterbourne on December 5, 2012 at 2:28am Oh yes, and I've also been through Stratford on Avon on a narrow boat. Blissful!
