Is there not some known publisher who already has an established imprint for SteamPunk novels??

Just finishing up the first draft to my first novella - Doctor Jack. Then I am back to rewrites for one of my short stories... then it all gets quite scary contemplating the 'independent publishing' thing...

eep.

Madame, I have created character studies for authors, before. It can help some authors to maintain continuity in their character's attributes by giving them something to look at while describing them.

Madame, perhaps if you could clarify what manner of collaborator you are seeking....

An editor...  Someone to act as your sounding board, someone to help you maintain story continuity...

I first introduced Cloud Runner in September of last year, but the actual work was created almost two years ago. Over time, many people have expressed enjoying the piece, but Jack Tyler (AKA: Blimprider), one of my  fellow-members on Steampunk Empire, took it one step further ...

There is an interesting discussion along the lines of what is SteamPunk narrative...  To be found in "Off-Topic" (PC Takes The Steam Out Of Punk)

Greetings.

I am a writer of speculative fiction. Many of my short stories are either steampunk or alternative history. I am currently writing my first novel manuscript (almost one-third of the way through the first draft!) and researching traditional publishing vs. self-publishing. I am looking forward to some fantastic discussions on the forums.

Welcome aboard to both of you... and that steampunk edition sounds fabulous.

Greetings everyone.  I posted this announcement on the main page but I wanted to make sure everyone heard about this.  In the real world I am a writer and editor of a literary journal.  At my little (or not so little) literary journal we have monthly Guest Editors who select a special theme.  Our December Guest Editor is AE Stueve and I was very happy when he asked me if he could do a Steampunk theme.  So from now until November 26th we will be accepting steampunk fiction and poetry.  From these submissions AE will select work to be published throughout the month of December. Find out all the details at The Whistling Fire.
