Greetings everyone.  I posted this announcement on the main page but I wanted to make sure everyone heard about this.  In the real world I am a writer and editor of a literary journal.  At my little (or not so little) literary journal we have monthly Guest Editors who select a special theme.  Our December Guest Editor is AE Stueve and I was very happy when he asked me if he could do a Steampunk theme.  So from now until November 26th we will be accepting steampunk fiction and poetry.  From these submissions AE will select work to be published throughout the month of December. Hello folks. I'm an author of short stories, currently working on my first full-length novel. It's actually a futuristic, space sci-fi story, but does incorporate a definitively Steampunk moon colony that is more or less the equivalent of Amish communities in modern society. It definitely creates a nice twist to the traditional Star Wars/Battlestar Galactica styled stories.

I write fiction in screenplay form. Would this be welcome in this group? I have one that needs a fellow Steampunk or two to take a look at since I'm relatively new to Steampunk stuff.

Hello all! I am new here and wanted to stop by and say hI! I am currently halfway through my first YA novel, and stumbled upon Steampunk. I have fallen in love with it so much I have decided to rewrite my entire first half to incorporate this new world. Good thing Nanowrimo is coming up because the rest of my novel will be my Nano project!

I would like to add my comment to the discussion regarding the naming of this group. I like "Guild of Steamy Fiction" it was one of the things that caught my attention and I am enjoying being a member of this group.
