You Maine folk might be interested in knowing that the fourth "Tea on the Green" Steampunk Picnic is coming soon to Cape Elizabeth.  Here's the link to the Facebook page:

Yes, we need to get a centralized Maine group, or conection system. That way we can all get connected. Hey, you should create some sort of Facebook group called Maine steampunks. That will get more pings in a facebook or google search then all your individual groups. That will make it easier to connect and communicate with those interested in Steampunk in Maine. That's what we did in NH. I can help you with it if you would like.

Yes, I'm in Rockland...not too far...closer than NH  :)  It's interesting how I mention Steampunk to anybody around here and they look at me like I'm crazy. I do have one friend here that knows (and likes) the genre...don't know if he'd be up for or have time for doing anything with it though. Well, I guess we keep our ears and eyes open for more Mainers with interest...would love to get together with a group...stay in touch

Jodi: Central Maine, near Waterville. It's about an hour drive to Bangor, Portland, and the nearest part of the coast, Belfast.

I've heard rumors of a group around the Waterville/Augusta area as well, but no names.

Penny...what part of Maine are you in? I have two small on the NH border near Sunday River and one mid-coast.  Lieutenant...I will check them out, thanx

We're more facebook active. look up Secret Swan Society, New Hampshire Steampunks, or the Citizens of antiford.

Antiford has their Machen Bachen this weekend. Maybe you can make it down?

Definitely will need to look into it! I know of a few Mainers who are fairly active in general, but I don't think there are many groups all the way up here. New Hampshire isn't a far drive though.

My friend in Maine was thinking the same thing. Is there a Maine Steampunk group on Facebook?

Anyway, if you are on Facebook, the New Hampshire Steampunks have a great deal going on that are closer to you guys then whatever else is going on. Maybe you could work with the Citizens of antiford on a Maine event? They have about eight Mainers in that group, lead by Leo Swift.

Just wondering the same thing's tough here in Maine

Are there many active folks these days? I try to get on here when I can, but I don't have the internet. It would be fun to coordinate something before it gets too cold to play outside. Or make it a real Maine experience and gather in the snow anyway!
