Comment by Ichabod Temperance CP on April 18, 2013 at 7:23pm Hullo my friends!
Miss Plumtartt and I are very proud to announce the publication of my novel, "A Matter of Temperance" on Amazon kindle.
It is a wonderfully, charming, and romantic kind of monster hunting novel. Suitable for all ages. But make no mistake! There are frightful monsters trying to kill our intrepid heros throughout this thrilling tale. You are invited to join our adventure.
Respectfully yours,
Ichabod Temperance.

Comment by Captain Maximillian Drake on March 6, 2013 at 2:03pm As an airship captain I have at times found it necessary to combat monsters. Often times I find I must make due with what I have in any given situation like this. I find that a good sharp 1796 Cavalry Sabre combined with the hydraulic option of my clockwork prosthetic arms tends to go a long way. It seems most critters don't go very far without their heads. After that, I also find that high caliber firearms with some extra magazines of white phosphorous tracer rounds usually are quite helpful.
There was one time when attacked by several Yeti type critters that I found the need to punch my fist through the front of one of their heads and clear out the back. Needless to say that was rather messy. Its not fun cleaning blood out of gears.

Hello everyone - brand new to the Empire and happy to be here. I am currently on a second/third draft of a novel of steampunk ghost hunters (still trying to come up with a name for for the Society that isn't taken over by the current trend of Ghost Adventurers on various cable stations). I enjoy the hunt but hate the commercialism (sound a tad snobbish don't I? Sorry) What better way to embrace both of my passions. I hope this groups picks up a bit more. I am looking forward to some lively discussion.
Comment by Understudy Phillip Craym on January 16, 2013 at 4:53pm There is also the question of society: how do others react to the hunter? Are they seen as social outcasts or as elite members, et al.? For example, in the world I've created, hunters are not outcasted from society, but most choose to live away from towns and cities due to the nature of the hunts they do. My particular hunter lives outside the largest port city on the continent.
And many thanks to Miss Calloway for the props.
Comment by Miss Gemma Calloway on January 14, 2013 at 9:48pm While I agree that practicality is very important, I think it is also important to remember your character and what they would like to use as well. For example my character likes more hands on weapons, with a heavy eastern influence inspired by martial arts. (Probably cuz I'm such a martial arts movie buff) The question of location does interest me. Like are all these things lurking in the shadows of a city? are they spread out through rural and city landscapes? Is there hunters training or is it more like a bounty hunter situation? Props to Craym I'll be thinking about this for awhile
