Comment by Sgt. Ian MacBruiche on November 26, 2011 at 1:51pm thank you very much therese, for sharing this wonderful find with me. we have a number of local colonial events, tours and sites here in the wyoming valley, but i'm always happy to find out about 'outside' events. here are some links to the more popular ones. http://www.swetland.org/ http://www.luzernecounty.org/living/history_of_luzerne_county/histo... http://www.houdini.org/ the houdini museum is one of my favs. enjoy.
Ian, off topic, have you ever been to Pennsbury Manor (Morrisville, Pa.)?
They used to have a very nice 17th century faire. You even could haggle and trade with the (reenactors) street vendors. I don't know if they still have it or not, but it is a very nice place to visit regardless.
Me too, Ian, I really love renaissance faires!
The site is wonderful, the puppets really nice but they only sell at faires?
Comment by Sgt. Ian MacBruiche on November 25, 2011 at 8:49am good morning! being an avid rennie as well as steampunk enthusiast, i remembered a puppeteer and his creations from a few years back. http://www.imaginariumgalleries.com/imaginarium/ i bought a baby dragon for my son and he still has loads of fun with it. maybe i should get myself a griffin or two and 'punk it out'. we shall see. ttfn.
I wish everyone, a very happy and safe Thanksgiving!
I have a lot to be thankful for, and I hope you all do too!
Well well....isn't this a happy find! I am a ventriloquist who started out as a puppeteer. Stop by my page and take a squint at my photos. I've posted a couple of characters I have. I was here at the Empire to attempt a SP look for my clown character. Thanx to Sgt. MacBruiche for the invite!
