Hello, all!  ...I didn't join the group just to ask this, but I am curious:  Is anyone here making it toThe Anachronism at Webster Hall this Sunday?

Hello NYC Steampunks! We are playing a show TONIGHT at Goodbye Blue Monday in Brooklyn at 10 PM! We've come all the way from Atlanta to rock your faces off, so we hope to see you there!

If you are organizing any event in NYC, if you could, please drop me a line - a private message or something like that, if SE has that sort of function. I maintain the LiveJournal and Facebook pages for the NY Steam groups, and I also outreach with the NY Steampunks on Meetup.com. In addition to maintaing the NYC Steampunk calendar at http://www.nycsteampunk.com/calendar/calendar.html I'm trying to make it a clearinghouse for all NYC area events but it's very time consuming - even know there are so many events I need to add to the calendar for December. I haven't really had enough time to follow what's going on at SE so anything you can do to keep me updated is greatly appreciated! I am happy to spread the word. Thanks for your help!

well I was thinking that each person chips in 5 bucks and whoever wins gets the pot. It could either be individual or team. I was going to go and hide clues on or around nyc. 57th street and below. Manhattan only.

Treasure hunts are fun! Will the booty be virtual (maybe Google-map mock-ups) or real-world stuff hidden about our beloved Gotham?

You can always spread the word through other venues too, like on LJ, Facebook & MySpace to garner interest. Especially if this is going to be for the summer -- you have time.
