Hello,

There's nothing to compare to a good chinwag between friends and I'm at my chattiest when my pen does the talking for me.  I've just stepped into my autumn years and I'm feeling a bit chilly with it...  Never mind, there's nothing like a letter from a friend and a good book to warm the heart.

Cheerio,

Di

I am very pleased to find this group. I am seeking to expand my social group and wish to place my name in the circle to become a correspondence friend. What I seek is someone willing to correspond in a traditional way. Beginning with a message or two here on the Empire and then transitioning to mailed letters.

I am inclined to take on two or three correspondents with a sincere wish to form close friendships through the sharing of real life events, triumphs, joys, disappointments etc. Even the sharing of occasional photos and small packages as time goes on.

For me, distance is not an issue and I certainly welcome acquaintances from states and countries other than my own. However, I will say that I would prefer to correspond in English.

If you are so inclined to favor this request, please, feel free to contact me via message here on the Empire.

I look forward to hearing from those who are as equally dedicated to bringing back the Victorian social ideals as I am in practical means.

Respectfully,

Samatha ~ Anne Belle

Greetings and salutations, New to Steampunk I suppose one could say, but keen to further my education, further exercise my I'll used mind.
I would greatly enjoy the opportunity to write again as I did in days of yore, with a real pen, and ink.
I am, sadly, also keen to reuse my frankly delicious stationary, my plum coloured ink, and my sealing wax once more..How very pretentious moi.
Feel free, do, to contact me.
My most respectful regards
Bianca -The Asiddburrn.

I was asked by my dear friend of mine, asked me to share this:

A lot of my friends from this site have joined the other new SP site, http://www.welcometosteampunk.com/, so have and will continue to spend a lot of time there.

This doesn't mean I'm leaving this site by any means, because for one it is useful to me and not a bad site on the whole. But second and more importantly, there are many people here on this site that i enjoy conversing with and consider doing so time well spent.

So, I encourage you to check out the new site mentioned above and join if you like. It is small right now, but in many ways is freer than The Empire and offers certain things that The Empire does not.

Hope to see all of you soon,

Captain Maximillian Drake,

HMS Wyvern

PS- For those of you airship captains out there, interested in some friendly competition or perhaps honing your skills or both, we have started an airship dueling RP group on the new site.
