Comment by Michael Margerum on March 2, 2013 at 10:35pm Wonderful! Is the engine similar to the "Commodore Vanderbilt"?

Comment by D. Niles, Esq. on February 8, 2013 at 3:20pm Photo's are of two of the three Marx O27 Train Sets I acquired yesterday.
I've been looking for O27 track, switches & crossovers and came across a fellow who had boxes of track, switches, crossovers & accessories, 3 trains sets & additional cars for sale. His asking price was less than I figured I'd pay for track & switch sets & crossovers. My first electric train was a Marx-Allstate set, and one of the sets was the same model...Knew it was a sign, so could I resist?
No pix of the complete set in the original box.
