I hope all of you had a good time at the meeting. I'm sorry I missed it, but the person who I had hoped could stay with my mother wasn't available. I am hoping that my son will be able to "babysit" his Grandma, so I can finally meet y'all.

Just got my Mauser C96 pistol and my PPSH 41 in! (Posted a pic to my profile) now to decide what or how to mod.

I have checked out your page on FB, though I haven't left a message there.

I would love to attend the meeting. If I can find someone to stay with my mom-I'm her caregiver-I'll be there. I really am looking forward to meeting all of you.

Thanks to Chris for being on the ball and my apologies for being slow to welcome you, Lady Sophronia. I hope you have had the opportunity to find us on facebook. Please let us know so we can welcome you there. We will be meeting (and having our Yuletide Steampunk Soiree') at Three Oaks Bed and Breakfast in Marshall on Dec. 29th at 7:00 pm. You're welcome to join us to get a feel for the group, if you'd like.

Welcome! There are a few of us in Marshall. We are starting up a small social group, but most of us are in R3SES, also. Hope to hear more from you.

Hi, I have been looking for a local Steampunk group. I'm from Marshall, TX. I would love to join your group. I will also join your Facebook group.

Welcome, H. Agustus and Angus! Thank you both for attaching yourselves to our society. We are here to promote and support Steampunk endeavors throughout the Ark-La-Tex. R3SES is not an ironclad, land leviathan, airship or other vessel; we are a collective allowing all like-minded people and groups the opportunity to socialize, to share, and to learn more about the Steampunk worldview. Please visit our facebook fanpage, facebook.com/R3SESpage for more information, and to discuss what you've been doing and see what we've been up to, look for our open group page under the full name Red River Regional Steampunk Expeditionary Society.

Greetings to you all from Southern Louisiana!

Agustus Griffin here. Member of the 7th Armored Infantry. I'm relatively new to the Empire but not to Steampunk. Looking for more people in my area to socialize with as well as to swap creative ideas. I'm a propmaker and artist at heart who daylights ad a grouchy cook.

I've recently become more active in costuming. My brother convinced me to attend Dragon Con 2012. After joining the 76th Independant Battalion (A Firefly Costuming Group that specilizes in dressing as Browncoat soldiers.) and putting together my Type A Uniform I attended that Super Bowl of Nerdery and even marched in the annual D*C* Parade. I was blown away at seeing so many people coming together to share their art and appreciate other peoples' skill. I was literally overloaded by the experience! After returning home I decided to pursue my costuming constantly.

I am creating (hopefully) a Steampunk variation on the 76th Browncoat soldier. Came up with some good ideas and finally started modding my Browncoat gear to be more unique to my ideas and the genre while still keeping that "look" that those in the know wiold recognize as my tribute to my 76th family. It iis it's own creature however and will share only a few actual similarities with my Firefly persona. I'd really love to get a group together but am just as satisfied to go it alone.

There's more to my "story" but it's mostly origin and detail based so I won't drone on about it too much yet. I am glad to meet you all and hope to meet at least some of you in time.

Yours faithfully

Agustus Griffin
