The Steampunk Empire
The Crossroads of the Aether
Dance like you have a timing chain! We are a group of dance-minded steampunks who get together to dance a unique combination of 19th century ballroom dance and modern street punk with a little goth thrown in.

Hi ya'll here is a wonderful blog from an 1890's ball in the San Francisco area.
Recently posted an article on Steampunk and Contradance. You can read it here:http://stylesaysonlyme.blogspot.com/2013/03
One of our members is a performer with this group. This event is to raise money for the group to travel - it will be a short performance, so come early.
Saturday, November 10-- 10am-4pm
Sunday, November 11-- 12pm-4pm
At the Latvian Cultural Center-11710 3rd Ave NE(a few blocks north of the Target at Northgate Mall--go north on 5th Ave NE, turn left/west on 117th. Continue until you reach the end of the street. The Center is in the cul-de-sac to the right. The parking lot fills up quickly, so you might need to find parking on the street)
Trejdeknitis will be performing a few dances on Saturday, November 10, starting at 12:30. We are raising funds this year to travel and perform in the Song Festival in Rīga, Latvija. We'll have our own tables of special merchandise on offer. Don't miss it!
Thank you, and I hope to see you there!
The Steampunk Exhibition Ball is a go for 2013. It will be held on March 9 at the Museum of History and Industry. I will post more information as it is available.
Please check the new page to the right for instructional videos. It is dance season after all.

I know I have been neglecting ya'll, but I just put up a blog post about the Braving the Ballroom workshop I just did at SteamCon 4. It was amazing. I also taught cross-step waltz to almost 80 people. The dance floor was so crowded, we didn't have enough room for everyone to dance at the same time. I think I need to teach this one again!
I have been approached to organize Captain Nemos Ball at SteamCon this year, but the budget for this is very limited. I need extra funds for musicians and a good caller and we do not want to charge extra for this event so I am desperately in search of sponsors. Sponsors would get free advertising in the program, but here's the catch, I have to secure sponsors by August 31st to get them in the program.
If any of you would like to be a sponsor, or know of any business that would benefit from sponsoring Captain Nemo's Ball, please message me here.
Here it is....bagpipes to drive away the Kraken!
