Comment by David Fennell on April 3, 2013 at 5:34am is anyone here still active? I live in Lagrange and hour east of south bend. Just wanted to know who all is still around. I am heading to the Steampunk Symposium in cincinatti and was wondering if anyone else was as well
OK..as I'm new to this neck of the woods, where is German twnshp/ more to the point, where is/What is the nearest town?
Comment by Ezra Fugue on July 16, 2012 at 6:16am Well I'm on Central instead of Eastern so with those hours Saturdays would fit best for me since I don't get back from Chicago until about 7:30 pm Eastern.
Comment by David D'Champ on July 15, 2012 at 9:50pm OK, This looks like it might be a doable thing. When would be most convenient for most people. The German Township branch has rather strange hours but plenty of available space for group meeting and space is most always available. Tuesday and Thursday they are open until 8pm and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm. Give me some ideas and I'll put together a meeting for us.
Comment by Aeron Storm on July 15, 2012 at 6:10pm My husband and I have been kicking around a steampunk genre adventure story for a while. It might be fun to hang out with some folks who know the world better than us! And the library would be an excellent place to meet methinks!
Comment by Ezra Fugue on July 12, 2012 at 12:33pm I live about hourish from SB but I work in Chicago so depending on when I'd be interested. I'm still "new" to steampunk and trying to figure things out but I think it's pretty damned nifty.
Comment by David D'Champ on July 12, 2012 at 11:57am I might be willing to start a group with meetings at the German Township Library on Cleveland by the Meijer's store but I'd need to know how many people would be interested. If there are more people here in South Bend and Mishawaka, please chime in. We could have a lot of fun and maybe make a movie or a web series.
So now theres a few peeps interested, who is gonna organise a meet?
Comment by David D'Champ on July 10, 2012 at 10:09pm Hello, Just got into this site and joined this group. I'm located in South Bend, out by the Airport and I am a low/no budget movie maker. I have a very strong interest in steampunk for several projects I am working on. I am hoping there is enough life left in this group that maybe I'll be able to hook up with several people of like interest and maybe more forward on some of these ideas. Hope to hear some someone soon.
Comment by Ainsley Wilhelmina Doyle on June 13, 2012 at 5:34am The Circle City Aerodrome(Indy's Steampunk group) has a new Facebook page. Please check it out and like it. We are trying to be a more active group and all upcoming events will appear on this page including the Masquerade Ball we are planning for February.
