First Meeting

The South Bend Salon will be meeting next Friday (July 3rd)--somewhere in SB (to be announced later in the week) for tea and a discussion of S.M. Stirling's "The Peshawar Lancers".
Update: 11/12/2009
The next books up to be discussed are as follows:
Gibson and Sterling's The Difference Engine.
Jeff VanderMeer's City of Saints and Madmen.
Whitechapel Gods--S.M. Peters
Viriconium--M. John Harrison.
the core group knows the meeting places, but if anyone from this site would like to know the schedule, drop me a line. Usually things happen on Friday afternoons.

The German Township branch has rather strange hours but plenty of available space for group meeting and space is most always available. Tuesday and Thursday they are open until 8pm and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm. Give me some ideas and I'll put together a meeting for us.

If there are more people here in South Bend and Mishawaka, please chime in. We could have a lot of fun and maybe make a movie or a web series.

Comment by David D'Champ on July 10, 2012 at 10:09pm: Hello, Just got into this site and joined this group. I'm located in South Bend, out by the Airport and I am a low/no budget movie maker. I have a very strong interest in steampunk for several projects I am working on. I am hoping there is enough life left in this group that maybe I'll be able to hook up with several people of like interest and maybe more forward on some of these ideas. Hope to hear some someone soon.

We are trying to be a more active group and all upcoming events will appear on this page including the Masquerade Ball we are planning for February.
