Howdy my fellow spacefarers. Coming to this era from the 21st century. Fascinated with space and time travel stories, film, concepts and ideas from the steam era.

Browsing about I came across this, which could be a decent foundation for a space suit.

It's a British Ministry of Defense Fire Helmet available for $50 from IMA.

In the more general forum area I have started a discussion on the history of Victorian Space-ships. I thought it would be appropriate to link from here as well.

In some ways, I like the ugly utility of Russian spacecraft. It looks so marvelously slipshod, like something someone would build in their basement. US and European equipment always looks so clean and Star Trek.

While the outlook for the Constellation program looks bleak it isn't stopping the test and evelopment of the components.

Also for your Tuesday pleasure.... Earl as sen from the ISS.

It is quiet... like the dark recesses of space itself..... Yet still I admire the beauty that is the stars, and know that we maintain a place amoungst its majesty...

Good Mornign Aethernauts!
