This is not something we would usually do, but we're getting requests for funding for a lot of good projects! The main problem is that we don't have much in funds that can be allocated to assist our…Continue

Comment by Doctor Q on August 21, 2011 at 6:21pm Thank you very much Hannah, All support is appreciated by us, we need as much of it as we can get.
Rachel Harrison, our Chief, will post bulletins when we have news. We currently have two projects that we have given grants for, so we should be seeing some results soon.
As you will have gathered, the Foundations principle run on a much better system compared to that of Kickstarters. Something that I hope alot of steampunkers will come to understand over time.

Comment by Rachel Harrison on May 22, 2011 at 10:46am It has come to the attention of the board, that some users are under the impression the the Foundation is a scam.
I would like to express that we have produced our first grant for funds to a user that submitted an application. The lady in question was granted $75 and we shall be keeping you all upto date on progress of the project.
I trust this will settle any opinion that we are not con-artists....and this is a legit charity which Steampunks interests at heart!
Comment by Captain Syfer Kent Locke on April 21, 2011 at 2:24pm I am no longer going to attend WSE... I do hope someone else will be able to represent the Foundation there.
I still plan on attending both Wichita, Kansas events, the AnimeCon and Emerald City Steampunk Expo, and I will keep the group up to date on other events where I might be able to represent them. SteamCon is a definite, and there may be more.
Comment by Rachel Harrison on April 8, 2011 at 10:11am The First SSPF Art Raffle is about to begin! We hope to have several of these raffles to raise funds for the Foundation and hope you'll all play along! The first item up for raffle is this set of stunning goggles made by Nash the Tinkerer.
In order to enter the raffle please visit the link we'll be posting below and donate $1.00 to the Foundation. Be sure to put down your name so we know who the winner is when we draw a name on the 22nd of April! Best of Luck!
