Just joined after attending several Steampunk themed events this year. I'm a Victorian mystery author and a student of Bartitsu. No steampunk yet, but I'm working on it!

For the Oklahoma Steampunk Exposition in April, I am putting together a Steampunk tea book. I already have everything for it except pictures. Since I have to make the teas and tea snacks in order to photograph them, I was wondering who here would be interested in attending a number of tea parties to eat these teas - and be photographed eating them for the book? Everyone who attends a tea will get a copy of the book.

Just curious who all is going to the McNellies Meet and Greet on August 18th. So far I have 3 spots for The Shiney Lady, 3 spots for Carrie Kirklin, 1 spot for the wonderful Cordelia Moontea(going to miss the little ones in there cute costumes though), I assume one spot for the beautiful Epiphanie delaCoeur, one space for Tyburn Blossom, and two spaces for us. If anyone else is going, or if I have any of this wrong, PLEASE let me know. I will be trying to get us a space all to ourselves for that night. Can't wait to see old friends and new faces. It is going to be SO much fun.

Would anyone be interested in a steampunk art show in Pauls Valley Oklahoma? Our arts council has recently renovated the old Firehouse building and turned it into our town art center. Our first event was a great success with several artists. It would be great to have a Steampunk-dedicated art show.

If anyone's interested, Bad Granny's Thrift Store at NW 16th and Indiana in OKC has some nice vintage things for very cheap, as does hte store next door, Curiouser and Curiouser. I found a child sized vintage straw pith helmet in the Wolseley style there, a pair of chicken skin gloves dyed red, and lots of jewelry.

True, it's not. I will definitely still be keeping up with things on here
