Dear Melvin, you will find much more conversation and interaction on the Steampunk Ottawa Facebook group page.  Do join us there as well.  Cheers!

Hello everyone,

My wife and I are new to the Steampunk World. We are looking for friends to meet and contact at your social events . My lovely wife is Isabella Marie Watt. My name is Melvin Jefferson Watt.

Also... I have a new Steampunk Show-Band Production.  I am producing it and I am the drummer. Our story and music are about our airship "Aether Jack".

We will be ready in the near future. Please feel free to spread the word,  our Band's web site link: www.aetherjack.com. Please add it to your favourites, and keep looking for updates. I'm a face book member, so please feel free to join my page: Melvin Jefferson Watt

We are hoping to play at a variety of events and venues throughout the Ottawa region and eventually expand throughout the Steampunk universe!

We want to present ourselves with a unique and professional look so we would value your advice on staying true to the Steampunk philosophy. As they say "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing" LOL.

Our plans also include promoting any of our Steampunk Ottawa Member's Artisans: fashion, jewelry, prop creators or anything you have to offer. We feel it is very benificial to help each other and share information so everyone in Steampunk Ottawa/Canada can continue to grow.

My wife and I have been involved in local theatre for many years as a matter of fact we were married on stage  two years ago. I've been a musician forever, and I play drums, guitar and some bass, but drumming is my favourite. We both enjoy rock music: Rush, AC/DC and much more.

We all look forward to making new friends and connections soon!

Many thanks in advance,

Isabella, Melvin and the Aether Jack Band members!    :-)

Greetings Steampunk Friends!

I come seeking a favor. I am an organizer of an event in Toronto, the evening of Friday October 12th. And our opening party is Steampunk themed. I am hoping to find some local (or not so local) steampunk artists that I can hire to decorate our space and help turn it into a magical land of future yore! Hopefully someone has some decorations laying around from previous cons and parties. We have a small budget, but we will pay you. Please let me know if you are this person, or know of anyone. thanks so much!

We have our own local steampunk talent. Lend these lovely ladies a hand to produce their steampunk CD! http://www.indiegogo.com/thornproject

For those interested in attending this evening or tomorrow, and for those who are unable to attend... We went to see Julian Taylor-Patterson's steampunk art installation in Ottawa, Ontario. It's brilliant! I have posted a photo album to tease you.... http://www.steampunkcanada.ca/apps/photos/album?albumid=12606296
