Despite the bad weather we had a dozen steampunks show up at the Royal Mile last weekend.

Has a very active page with 377 current members with probably around 100 in the DM area. You have to request to join (to keep out spammers). So if you are not adverse to FaceBook, you will find about monthly activities and a lively conversation.

For those interested in a very pleasant holiday event in a lovely Victorian setting, the 19th century Xmas in Moline is very enjoyable.  Very family friendly.
