The Crossroads of the Aether

This is a group for the vile and vicious villains of the steampunk world. These revolting, repugnant and rancorous reprobates are not the common brigands and sneak-thieves. We are the men (or women) behind the curtain.

Comment by Hibernia Curtnez on October 18, 2011 at 3:01pm Ahhh, now you see-. Tis for sure the way to admit to that what may be found written about yerself in Penny Dreadfuls, the Press and diverse court papers. Therefor tis easier to deny any false rumours, scandalous stories and wicked discriptions of erroneous deeds that may be attributed to one self, even though you we'rnt there, now nuffin and can prove you were in another place entirelty.
Here is my confession.
I was led astray. Society is to blame.
A poor lad, lured by stories of daring-do. Served me country, served mankind then I helped meself.
My wife and I went into commerce. Fair and honest we were then. By happenstance my dear wife got the idea of piracy in her head. A local landlord (John of the Jolly Sailor, if you pull into Poole Port, a well know local reprobate and pirate to be found on the quay) lent her a small ship and, being Poole, a scurvy crew was soon found.
For my sins I became quartermaster. We did well and with the aid of certain worthys of the town were able to take to the air.
Now we have a thriving shop and are seen as almost respectable. True, at certain times when figures swathed in black can be seen coming and going at odd hours. There are occasions when our shop is shut and we are absent from the Borough.
So this is my confession.
Pirate by violition.
Pirate by consorting with pirates.
Pirate by gaining from the activities of pirates.
Which, by the laws of England makes me guilty.
