Currently reading the Virga series by Karl Schroeder. On the 3rd book, and has been pretty good and interesting. recommend giving the series a chance.

Oh, Law of Alloy by Brandon Sanderson is a great as well. 

Currently waiting for the next book to come out.

Looked up a synopsis. The Virga series looks really interesting.

Very. Been amazed at how well the writer writes the female characters as well.
