I am Lieutenant Gideon Volgas. I have recently joined the ranks of the D.O.P.D. over six months ago. The D.O.P.D. is a government-sanction military task force under veil of the Department of Defense. Technically, we don't exist. We specialize in occult warfare and tactics. I see us as a bunch of misfit soldiers trying to make some easy kills. All of us came from different countries and military backgrounds. Most of us are humans, but we still have the unusual groups. A few vampires and werewolves here and there, some hybrids, and some other strange types. The rarities are the holy bloods.

They're said to have been descended from angels and demons, or something. All i know is that they're powerful as hell....or heaven...either or don't get in their way. Then there are the mages. Mostly human, but they master all different kinds of arcane arts. Then, well, there's me of course. Let's just say i'm more of an oddity in this group then anyone else.

Anyways, you have been selected by the U.S. government or from your fellow Allied nation to fight against the tyranny of the Eurasian Empire based purely on your combat and strategic skills in the battlefield. So, to you on behalf of the Allied Nations and myself, welcome to the Department of the Occult and Paranormal Defense.
