The Steampunk Empire

The Crossroads of the Aether

The Empire Roleplaying Group

After seeing lots of random RP's pop up in the chat, I figuerd that it mite be a good idea to start a Steampunk Role playing group so that theirs a place for all the awesome steampunk RP's that pop up here and there.

Location: All over the Steampunk Empire.

I have recently started a group, the Sailors of the Aether, as a launch platform for the book I'm trying to publish. The idea is to set characters in a universe based on the book. It is the first time I've done an RPG type game online. I'm still looking for players if anyone is interested. Perhaps I can glean from any one's expert advice and direction.

Well, my intention is certainly not to annoy! However, in starting this newspaper, the only way to get it off the ground--to attract feature writers, authors, advertisers--was to ensure that it was seen by as many people ad possible. I am certainly aware that since people belong to more than one group, then they likely receive my message multiple times. I myself belong to numerous groups across The Empire, and anytime anyone types a comma I receive an email. I I derstand the frustration. I hope that in time I will be able to post The Chronicle once, and only once, on the forums, because I will have built up my subscriber base to a point where I need not "advertise" it so much. That time is not quite yet. However, I will bear your constructive criticism in mind when posting in the future. Perhaps posting The Chronicle in fewer groups will lessen the number of duplicate messages people receive.

I think the problem really has more to do with how you advertise your paper. I as well have seen it in my Email In-box so many times (once for every group I'm a member of), that it has become more than a little annoying. And personally this sort of add campaign serves to make me less likely to read it simply because it is annoying!

I role-played back in the day. A few friends, table, and dice. I am new to online roleplaying and need help getting started.

Greetings ladies and gentlemen of the Empire Roleplaying Group,

Over the past few months I have been developing a roleplay called The Iron Realm. It has only just begun and I would very much like more people to join in. Here is a link to The Iron Realm group page, please have a look and leave a comment if you are interested.
