Faerie hasn't been my area of study- that's one of Amy's many spheres. But here's something  I'd like to explore:When I think of pre-19th century folklore, there's a view that fairies/elves and…Continue

Third Annual "A Victorian Haunting Experience" sneak peek at the venue. Hint, was built in 1890...

Phew! I most relieved that vous "rapped" [of a spirit summoned by a medium) to communicate (a message) by raps (often fol. by out] three times, and not "rapped" (an alleged musical form)! ;-)

I was a bona fide New Orleanean Goth for a number of years, I think this group will do just fine.

A most amusing and delightful tour . Ambrose is said to be rather partial to the female Hotel staff - and , we were told , sometimes detained them by slamming and locking doors . When the staff take a firm line with him the doors re- open .

Ballarat , a Western Victorian Goldrush City , offers a horse - drawn tour of ghost sites . There is a lot to see. . Many late C19th English mediums took their travelling shows to colonial Australia and there were enough local happenings to keep everyone entertained. My favourite story from the tour concerned the ongoing activities of a small boy who haunts a local Hotel . It is said that if the last person to leave the Hotel does not wish Ambrose good night he creates havoc in the bar .
