Comment by Prof. Sebastian Fate on July 21, 2010 at 3:08am: Ballarat , a Western Victorian Goldrush City , offers a horse - drawn tour of ghost sites . There is a lot to see. . Many late C19th English mediums took their travelling shows to colonial Australia and there were enough local happenings to keep everyone entertained. My favourite story from the tour concerned the ongoing activities of a small boy who haunts a local Hotel . It is said that if the last person to leave the Hotel does not wish Ambrose good night he creates havoc in the bar .
