Question to the group:

Would there be any interest in a weekend afternoon gathering? Say a picnic with croquette? Somewhere in the Howard County area?

Feedback please.

I will be there, but will be dressed according to an earlier century's piratical theme.

I will keep my eye on the horizon for your airships. Do not fear if you are accosted by a blond woman in a tricorn.  I will not be armed.

We plan to attend sometime in the next few weeks. We had planned to wait to wear such fine clothes til the appointed day (assuming they will do the same as last year). A great many of our Co - workers came out in their finest provided by my Lovely Wife and I: this year we have even more interest!

Lady MacGregor and I have attended the MD Ren Faire twice this year, but we have been cleverly disguised to blend in with the locals. Unfortunately, we have plans for this weekend and will be unable to attend. If there is going to be a larger scale outing later in the season, I might be able to attend in my steamy garb.

Will anyone be attending the MD Ren Faire this year? My wife friends and I are planning on going tomorrow in steam attire.

I should very much appreciate if the members of the guild should read my screed " On the Nature and Elements of Steampunk: A Manifesto of Sorts. in the general section of the forum.  I should very much appreciate your comments, additions, and opinions.

Hello Professor Crackle!

I'm not sure how to answer that.  I think it is very approachable.   For more info you can check out the main website for the Bartitsu Society here:

I'd be happy to answer any specific questions.  Thanks!

Major,

Other than reading about it in The Janus Affair, I don't know much about it. How approachable is it?
