We are thrilled to announce that we will have two live musical acts for your additional entertainment at the July 17th event : Eli August will be playing his melancholy sounds to soothe your soul earlier in the evening and then the acclaimed Milwaukee based band Water Street Bridge playing live for the barn dance portion of the evening!

Oh, dear, I'm seeing that on Friday evening we should have decided to make the drvie to Madison for the show rather than choosing not to. And how unfortunate that my husband and I have other obligations on the 17th... Well, there will be a "next time"!

In related news: We just got back from our rehearsal at Midway Village for the July 17th event. The organizers at Midway are happy to sell you tickets at the door, however, they are not sure how much food to prepare for the concessions. So if you are planning on attending, could you be so kind as to call 815-397-9112 or email Mark Herman at and let him know how many people will be coming with your party?

Thank you! It was an exceptionally good show, the organizers of Fireball rarely disappoint. I was particularly impressed with James the Magician and we will do our best to book him for a future SC led event.

I think it safe to say that there were none that attended the cabaret at the Majestic Theater last evening were disappointed. The best use of both 10 reichmarks and an evenings time one could hope for. Our thanks to the good Captain on making us aware of it, even if the Ashar dance company did warrant a remembrance of Bucharest that brought an arched brow to my dear traveling companion,

Whilst curtailing British expansionism in Kaposia this last weekend (2nd part of the Steam Century event at Convergence) one could not help but notice advertisements pasted hither and yon for a 'weird west' carnival in the northlands of Wisconsin. Chippewa Falls, to be more accurate. Something for those in more northern climes that find southern activities an impractical drive..

Fire Ball is presenting the Yard Dogs Road Show at 9pm at the Majestic Theatre on July 9th. Aside from the headliners, Madison favorites Miss Tamale, Foxy Veronica's Peach Pies, and Ashar Dance Company will be on stage.

In addition, Steam Century will be hosting some of the Darke Carnival games in the Marquis' Room at the Majestic, come say hello!

Tickets are only $10!

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to let you know we just got back from CONvergence in MN and our team effort with the Steam Century: Kaposia chapter.

Since there is no rest for the weary we will be performing our most anticipated Midway Village event on July 17th from 2pm-10pm. I've attached the flyer below. We would love to have you join us for a lovely summer evening. In addition to the mystery we will have performers, vendors, concessions, and a barn dance after the mystery finale!
