Thanks to all!  Finish is very important to me.  The base heart charm is a vintage piece - copper coating over a lucite core.  I drill holes into the heart then pin, glue and/or screw every component in.  Watch parts will snag on clothes and hair so it has to be a robust join.  I use a jewellery grade "super glue", gs hypo for small pieces and E6000 epoxy for large joins.  I'm always trying out new glues.
