"I don't think current uniforms are quite as dashing or romantic as historic ones but they still have that certain something, especially dress uniforms. I think that the US Marine dress uniform is my fovorite uniform of the colonies, and the…"
"*tips hat and bows* Why thank you Lady Bess, I am feeling a mite peckish. A cupcake sounds delicious. You did say they were not at all mindcontrol whatsoever? Excellent! I find the ingredients in mindcontrol food to give me a bit of…"
"Well I'm more like drag king/butch lesbian myself in daily life, but I do not identify as trans. However, my Steampunk persona is male and as it's obvious I'm a woman I guess that makes my Sir Fitzy trans? And I also portray Sir Fitzy…"
Greetings! Please forgive this impersonal missive, but I am writing to invite you to KLOCKWERQ, a Steampunk Soiree this Sunday night (Aug 15, 8:30pm) at T.T. the Bears, 10 Brookline St., Cambridge MA (www.TTtheBears.com).
KLOCKWERQ is a steam-powered, gear-driven, dance party and social event for the aetheric aristocracy. It's also the ONLY event of its kind in Massachusetts, and we'd love the support of the Steampunk community to get it off the ground. KLOCKWERQ has dancing, merchants, and more.
It's an 18+ event and admission is $10. We hope to see you there!
My good Sir Fitzy! A pleasure to make your acquaintance! Your thought (time machine to dirigible) is feasible but, alas, in the long run, is not practical. Should you be in an era when helium was unavailable, you would find it necessary to collect swamp gas if you sprung the proverbial leak... wearisome at best. Maintain your good fortune with the time machine but give consideration to a somewhat new invention, a wrist chronoportalator... a small slice of divinity if you can tolerate the heat and the fumes! Cheers, my fine new friend!
Sir Fitzy! Mind your spelling, you have written 'Seampunk' and I do believe that sounds more like my own profession. Unless, of course, you fully intend to explore such things upon which I may be of some help? *wink*
